Whether you're stuck at home on a rainy day or need inspiration during the school holidays, this page will have lots of ideas (some for little people and some for big people!) that you can use to get creative at home. All the activities use items you can find around the home.
Two Ingredient Buns
You will need Bread crusts or slices - any bread you have; Condensed milk, any brand will work and a muffin tin. A super fun, messy creative activity for any age.

You will need green and other coloured lids, a baking tray, baking paper or silicone sheet, scissors, old metal cutlery, oven and oven gloves.

Coffee and Kitchen Roll Roses
You will need ground coffee, a kettle or hot water from tap, kitchen roll, sellotape, scrap paper (old magazines or envelopes or letters), and maybe an oven and oven gloves if you're impatient!
lemon juice painting
Technically this isn't really a true re-CREATION.........unless you 'paint' on scrap envelopes maybe but I love that it is using household items, doesn't need art tools and is creating a bit of magic. All you need is lemon juice! Use your finger to make your marks, then pop your paper in the oven at 180*C for a couple of minutes to reveal your secret picture or message. Watch the paper in the oven the whole time to prevent it from burning. Have you tried using lime juice? What happened?
re-CREATING with Christmas cards
This makes such an eye catching 'bauble'. You can either use a circle punch or draw around an egg cup and create the triangle template for folding up the sides with a few clever folds as shown in the bottom left image. Use either glue or a stapler to join all the pieces together. It's recommended that you make a 'top' and 'bottom' piece and a middle 'belt' first.
